Upcycling used art supplies
At Studio FUNC we have a long history with spraypaint. To this day, is it one of our preferred methods used in our artwork. The colour palette, the techniques, the speed and the usability. However, we felt uncomfortable with just throwing all materials we used in the trash.
The can by itself is already a cool item. Back in the day, we used to make it a storage unit for pens and pencils to take to school. The brand we love to use, provides the colour of the can in a plastic ring on top. So we figured that we could use the tops for something decorative and the rest of the can for other purposes. Have a look at the "64Cans" artwork we made.
We poured concrete and created a couple of bouquets with the tops of the cans we used.
